With meaningless words
Many words. Too many words for you. Empty words.
Though you said nothing really.
Neither what would have had to be said,
Nothing that I longed for.
Although I never asked for anything but the truth.

You were courageous. Correct. A coward.
You invested five hours. Wasted them.
Talked a lot. Listened patiently. Did not tell.
Too polite to say what you think?
And still I got it.
I know now everything I need to know.
More than I would have dared to ask.

Only I cannot understand.
